To avoid irritation, mix a few drops with a carrier oil such as Avocado Oil or Jojoba Oil and lightly spray it onto your skin. If you are spending time outdoors on your deck or patio, invest in an essential oil burner. Add a few drops to the burner and the gentle fragrance will help keep bugs at bay.

The fresh lemon aroma of Citronella Oil helps mask body odor making it an all-natural deodorant. The natural antibacterial qualities of this oil also helps to prevent under arm bacteria. As we previously mentioned, do not apply this oil directly to your skin. Mix just a few drops with an all-natural oil such as 100% Coconut Oil and apply. You can also add a few drops to your warm bath water to help wash away bad odors.
All-natural Citronella Oil is effective in combating greasy hair. Add a few drops to your shampoo and or conditioner. Use several times a week, you will see and feel the difference.
Like all essential oils, Citronella can be irritating to the skin. When using this on your skin it is always best to dilute it with a carrier oil and test a small patch of skin to make sure you do not experience a reaction to it.
